How to tell the difference between true love and having

How to tell the – Love can be complicated,…

Love can be complicated, especially when you’re trying to figure out if what you feel is true love or just a crush.  It’s easy to confuse the two because both can feel exciting and overwhelming at first. Your heart races when you see the person, and you might find yourself daydreaming about them all day. But how do you know if it’s something deep and lasting or just a temporary attraction? Here’s what sets true love apart from a crush: 1. Crushes are based on attraction; love is built on connection A crush usually starts because you’re physically or emotionally attracted to someone. It might be their looks or confidence that grabs your attention. But with true love, the connection goes beyond the surface. You take the time to know the person deeply—their strengths, weaknesses, dreams, and fears—and still appreciate them. True love grows with mutual respect and understanding, while a crush fades when you get to know the person better. 2. A crush feels exciting but temporary; love feels stable and lasting A crush can feel like a rollercoaster of emotions, one minute, you’re on cloud nine, and the next, you’re overthinking everything they say or do. This intense excitement is short-lived. True love, on the other hand, feels more steady and comforting. Even though it’s not always thrilling, it brings a sense of security and peace that lasts over time. True love doesn’t disappear when things get hard; instead, it grows stronger. 3. Crushes are focused on fantasy; love embraces reality When you have a crush, you might find yourself imagining a perfect version of the person. You focus on their good qualities and overlook their flaws. With true love, you see the person for who they really are—the good, the bad, and everything in between. Instead of creating fantasies, true love accepts reality and works through challenges together. 4. Crushes are about how they make you feel; love is about giving A crush is about what the other person can do for you. How they make you happy, excited, or feel special. True love, however, is more selfless. It’s about giving, supporting, and wanting the best for the other person, even when it’s not easy. True love means putting in effort to build a partnership, while a crush is often more one-sided and focused on your feelings. 5. Love takes time; crushes happen quickly Crushes can happen in an instant. You see someone, feel drawn to them, and suddenly can’t stop thinking about them. True love, however, takes time to develop. It grows through shared experiences, trust, and communication. The strongest relationships are built slowly, with mutual care and respect. A crush is exciting and fun, but it’s temporary and based on surface-level feelings. True love, on the other hand, is deep, steady, and built on knowing and appreciating someone for who they truly are. Take your time to understand your feelings and don’t rush into labeling them. True love will reveal itself in its own time, and when it does, you’ll know. ALSO READ: Helpful tips to make your crush fall in love with you

5 reasons exclusive breastfeeding – Despite the significant benefits…

Despite the significant benefits of exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months, such as providing balanced nutrition and immunity, there can be situations where it’s not entirely achievable.

Here’s why exclusive breastfeeding might not be necessary

1. Lifestyle problems

Many new moms who are employed or enrolled in school find it easier to begin breastfeeding with breast milk replacements.

It can be difficult to juggle breastfeeding with personal or professional obligations, particularly in settings without adequate maternity leave regulations or pumping stations.

2. Lactational difficulties

Breastfeeding can be challenging for some moms with inverted or flat nipples during the first few weeks, and they are less likely to stick with its substitutes.

Medical Conditions

Certain women or babies have health issues that make exclusive nursing dangerous or difficult. For mothers, chronic diseases like HIV or inadequate milk supply can make them rely on formula feeding.

4. Postpartum depression

For new moms struggling with postpartum depression or anxiety, breastfeeding can be overwhelming or difficult. Both the mother and the child can benefit from formula introduction or supplementation, which can lower stress and improve their mental health.

5. Breastfeeding strike

Sometimes the baby might refuse breast milk. A baby may refuse to be breastfed because of mouth pain, ear infections, or vaccination-related soreness.

Additionally, a cold or stuffy nose can make breathing difficult and make breastfeeding impossible.

Stress or distraction, such as overstimulation, delayed feedings, or long separations, can cause fussiness and difficulty in nursing.

5 emergency alternatives for when you run out of pads

5 emergency alternatives for – Running out of pads…

Running out of pads during your period can be one of the most stressful situations to deal with. It might happen unexpectedly—perhaps you forgot to stock up, or you’re caught away from home with no access to a store.

In such moments, it’s easy to feel panicked or unsure about what to do. Thankfully, there are simple and safe alternatives you can use in emergencies to manage your period until you can get a proper pad or tampon.

Here are some quick fixes so you’re prepared the next time you face this situation:

1. Clean cloth

A clean, soft cloth is one of the most common and accessible alternatives. You can fold it into a rectangular shape and place it in your underwear to absorb the flow. Make sure the cloth is thoroughly washed and dried to avoid infections. After use, wash it immediately and let it dry in the sun, as sunlight acts as a natural disinfectant.

2. Toilet paper or tissue

If you’re in a public restroom or at home with no other options, toilet paper or tissue can provide temporary relief. Layer several sheets together for better absorption and place them in your underwear. While this solution isn’t the most reliable for heavy flow, it can work in the short term until you find a proper pad.

3. Cotton wool

Cotton wool or cotton balls are another option if you have them at home. Wrap the cotton in a clean cloth or tissue to keep it in place and avoid irritation. This option is soft and gentle on the skin, making it a decent choice for emergencies.

4. Reusable menstrual cloth pads

If you have reusable cloth pads or even old, soft fabric lying around, these can be a great option. Cut the fabric into the size of a regular pad, fold it for extra layers, and secure it in place. Wash and dry the cloth thoroughly after each use to maintain hygiene.

5. Baby diapers or incontinence pads

If you have access to baby diapers or adult incontinence pads, these can be an excellent alternative. They are designed to absorb liquid, making them highly effective for managing menstrual flow. Cut or fold the product to fit your underwear and use it just like a pad.
