Liverpool sealed a narrow victory over German side Leipzig to maintain their unbeaten run in the UEFA Champions League.

The Reds were brimming with confidence going into the game after their 2-1 win at the weekend against Chelsea.

Darwin Nunez returned to Liverpool’s starting lineup, one of the three changes to the team that started against Chelsea on Sunday.

Uruguay forward Nunez replaced the injured Diogo Jota, while Alexis Mac Allister is also back in for Curtis Jones.

RB Leipzig started with former Liverpool goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi in goal, while Xavi Simons, who is on loan from Paris St-Germain, also made the starting lineup.

Liverpool dominated the first 20 minutes of the match and got the first goal. Mohamed Salah directed a brilliant header towards the far post and Darwin Nunez tapped home.
