‘That’s not my story to tell’

‘That’s not my story – Following a disappointing end…
Following a disappointing end to Junelle Bromfield’s Paris Olympics outing after Noah Lyles’ Covid diagnosis, she faced criticisms for sacrificing her dream in favour of her partner’s well-being.
One of the controversial occurrence of the Paris Olympic Games was Noah Lyles’ scary moment after he crossed the finish line third in the men’s 200m final and collapsed to the ground out of breath.
He lingered there, gasping and clutching at his chest before medics arrived and carted him off the track in a wheelchair. It was then revealed by the USATF that he ran the race sick, having tested positive for Covid three days before.
With the shocking revelation becoming controversial, it vehemently bounced on his partner Junelle Bromfield, who was accused of sacrificing her Paris Olympics success for her lover’s well-being.
While Lyles took solace in his 100m gold medal days before the 200m final, it was a bitter disappointment for his stunning other half, who crashed out in the women’s 400m semi-finals.
Bromfield was tipped to at least make the final in Paris and replicate her Tokyo 2020 relay performance, where she played a key role in the Jamaican 4x400m squad winning the bronze medal. Sadly, the dramatic twist of Lyles’ diagnosis in the build-up to her semifinal race left her exhausted and unable to perform at her best.
Olympic 100m champion Noah Lyles and his fiancee Junelle Bromfield made a grand appearance at the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix.
‘She said I was coughing through the night and she had to keep moving me to make sure I would stop,’ Lyles according to the Irish Times. This means Bromfield seemed to have turned up for the race of her life fatigued after failing to have enough rest the night before.
The 26-year-old will then face lots of criticism for her below-par performance of prioritizing her partner’s health. Moreso, when medal hopefuls Shericka Jackson and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce dropped out of the Paris Games, a significant portion of Jamaica’s medal hopes were shunted on to Bromfield – who was left off of the 4x400m relay team. That quartet was later disqualified after dropping the baton in the final to drive the last nail in Jamaica’s worst sprint Olympics since 2000.
In a recent interview with theguardian.com, Lyles answered the controversial question in defense of Bromfield.
When asked if she sacrificed her Olympics for his, he said: “Unfortunately, that’s not my story to tell.”
Noah Lyles’ new shocking revelation on his preferred event ahead of the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo has stirred new conversations online.
“One day, I hope she does tell it. It wasn’t a situation where we wanted it to happen. I’m not gonna say it could’ve been handled better. I’m just saying there were so many governing bodies that were involved where you would think it would be an easy situation to handle. But it turned into, Well, we don’t wanna be the issue here. A lot more hands got involved into the pot than we wanted to. I’ll just say that.”
Lyles and Bromfield got engaged in October, and have moved to their new home as their love continues to wax stronger.

JohnFrance’s greatest ever player – Kylian Mbappe has struggled…
Kylian Mbappe has struggled to make the impact expected of him at Real Madrid
Michel Platini, one of the most iconic figures in French football history, has voiced concerns about Kylian Mbappe’s form, describing the Real Madrid star as “lost on the pitch.”

The remarks come as the 25-year-old struggles to replicate his previous heights both for club and country, sparking debate about his future at Real Madrid.
Mbappe’s form raises alarms with Platini
Platini, a pivotal figure in France’s 1984 European Championship triumph, expressed unease over Mbappe’s recent performances during an interview, saying, “A great champion must be reborn from his ashes, systematically.”
Mbappe’s output this season has been inconsistent. While he has managed seven goals in 12 La Liga matches, his Champions League record of just one goal in five appearances has drawn scrutiny.
His most recent performance against Liverpool, where he missed a penalty in a 2-0 defeat, has raised questions about his suitability for Real Madrid.
On the international stage, Mbappe’s absence from the French squad in recent windows has also been a source of concern after manager Didier Deschamps opted to omit him, citing it as a move in the best interests of all parties.
Platini hopes for Mbappe resurgence
Additionally, off-the-field controversies have added to the pressure as in October, Swedish media reported allegations of misconduct against Mbappe, claims which his legal team firmly denied as baseless.
Despite the challenges, Platini remains hopeful that Mbappe’s current struggles will serve as a temporary setback rather than a defining period.
With Real Madrid central figure Vinicius Junior sidelined through injury, the onus is on Mbappe to lead the team in pursuit of their goals.
Fans will be hoping for Mbappe’s resurgence soon, starting with their LaLiga game against Getafe this weekend.
