Speed Darlington threatens to leave club over Burna Boy’s song

Published

fdfd 1745673262Controversial singer and internet personality, Speed Darlington, caused a scene at a club recently when he threatened to leave because the DJ played a Burna Boy song. In a viral clip, Speed Darlington could be heard warning the DJ in Pidgin, I go go, making it clear he would exit if the song continued.  The DJ, not wanting to lose the energy in the room, quickly switched up the music. This dramatic reaction didnt come out of nowhere. It ties back to Speed Darlingtons ongoing grudge with Burna Boy. Recall that Burna Boy file a petition against Speed Darlington which led to his arrest and detention in two occasions.  Their beef was again renewed recently after Speed’s boxing match with street-hop star Portable after which Burna Boy reportedly gifted Portable twenty million Naira to show appreciation for beating Speed. Clearly, old wounds havent healed, and Speed Darlington isnt letting anything Burna-related slide not even in the middle of a night out. Watch the video below     View this post on Instagram           A post shared by Lindaikejiblog (@lindaikejiblogofficial)  The post Speed Darlington threatens to leave club over Burna Boys song appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released controversial social media activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), from custody.

In a video posted on Instagram by blogger Tunde Ednut on the evening of Wednesday, May 7, 2025, VeryDarkMan can be seen sitting in the back of a car alongside his lawyer and activist, Deji Adeyanju, at the wheel.

In the video clip, the activist characteristically laughed off insinuations that his arrest was connected to an alleged money laundering scheme.

He said he’s spending so much on charitable causes that some people begin to question where he gets the money from, unaware that he incurs debt in the process.

“Anyways, we’re outside. With my lawyer, of course,” he screamed ecstatically. “And you know what we do: We can never get inside when we have our lawyer by our side,” he continued.

FG plays Nnamdi Kanu’s broadcast, videos in court to establish alleged terrorism charge

The ongoing trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, continued on Wednesday May 7, 2025, at the Federal High Court in Abuja with the Federal government prosecution counsel playing some of the Radio Biafra broadcast and videos made in open court to establish the allegation of terrorism preferred against him. The broadcast and video documents, which were marked as exhibits, were tendered through the 2nd prosecution witness (PW-2), identified as BBB, before Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja. The recordings were said to have featured statements allegedly made by Kanu during periods of national unrest, including the 2020 EndSARS protests and various security incidents in the South-East. According to reports, in one of the broadcasts, Kanu was reportedly heard lamenting Fulani herders attacks and accusing Nigerian governors of betraying the South-East region. He also reportedly made controversial remarks about prominent political figures, including Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma and former Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike, now Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The content of the broadcasts reportedly ranged from calls for self-defense to direct criticisms of perceived government failures. It was gathered that a key point of contention was the interpretation of the broadcasts, as while the prosecution argued that the statements incited violence and promoted secessionist agendas, Kanus defense team, led by Chief Kanu Agabi (SAN), maintained that the broadcasts were political expressions protected under constitutional rights.Travel guides The prosecutions witness, under examination, confirmed Kanus identity in the videos and attempted to link the broadcasts to violent incidents, including attacks on security facilities. However, when questioned on certain charges, the witness admitted being unaware that some of the said charges had been previously struck out by the court.A notable portion of todays hearing also centered around the 2017 proscription of IPOB. The defense made no objections to the admission of the proscription document but pointed out that the ban was imposed through an ex parte order without IPOBs legal representation. The court was also presented with a letter from the former Attorney General of the Federation directing Kanus arrest, a document which the defence insisted was not initially served to them. Justice Omotosho had earlier insisted that all evidence must be duly served to the defence in the interest of fair hearing. The trial was adjourned to Thursday, May 8, for continuation of the examination of prosecution witnesses.     The post FG plays Nnamdi Kanus broadcast, videos in court to establish alleged terrorism charge appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
