Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Rema releases his second single of the year, Bout U‘.

His first single, ‘Baby (Is It a Crime),’ remains the most streamed Nigerian song released in 2025, breaking the record for the second-biggest opening day ever for an African song.

Rema once again evokes the timeless nostalgia of retro RnB with ‘Bout U,’ tapping into the dulcet-layered harmonies and wistful guitar instrumentals popularized by Nigerian boy bands in the early 2000s.

His time-travelling musical prowess is as apparent as ever on this record, once more creating a sound that effortlessly synthesizes the past and the present.

Since his debut in 2019, Rema has charted a steady course to world domination. His highly decorated discography has spawned a crop of global hits, including the biggest Afrobeats song of all time ‘Calm Down,’ featuring Selena Gomez

Before ‘Calm Down,’ there was his inaugural hit song ‘Dumebi,’ which earned him a spot on Barack Obama’s summer playlist. Come 2023, he will rise to become the highest charting Afrobeats artist in Billboard

Hot 100 history, a Guinness World Record Holder, and the first African artist to have an album hit a billion streams on Spotify.

In 2024, his sophomore album ‘HEIS’ earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Global Music Album.

2025 has gotten off to a busy start for Rema, who leads the 17th Headies nominations list with 9 nods, including for Album of the Year and Artist of the Year.

Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Badmus Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has reacted to Speed Darlington’s allegation that he defeated him in their celebrity boxing match with the help of ‘juju’ (black magic).

Media personality Frank Edoho has said that he believes most women do not like guys who are nice to them.

The famous media personality shared his opinion during a recent episode of The Black Table on TVC Entertainment.

He explained that he landed his position after reading comments made by women under an article on a blog.

“There was an article I saw on a blog that intrigued me. The topic was, ‘What is that red flag that you admire in the opposite sex? The question was directed at women,” the media personality from ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’ fame stated.

On what he observed in the comment section, Edoho explained that, “Although I am of the school of thought that men shouldn’t be nice all the time, the answers I got further my resolve that men should not even be nice at all.

“Women were answering, do you know what I saw? There was one I saw that says, ‘I like it when my man tells me, ‘I don’t want to repeat myself.’ She said it turns her on.

“Others said that they like it when their man waxes them, not extremely, but shows power; it turns them on.

“There are some strange things going on in the minds of these women that you are trying to be nice to. I am not saying all of them are like that but majority of women don’t like nice guys. They want bad guys that are nice to them sometimes.”
