The Super Eagles of Nigeria needed a late goal from Fisayo Dele-Bashiru to defeat Libya in their AFCON2025 qualifier in Uyo.

Super Eagles earn late win against Libya: How it happened
Eguavoen’s men were aggressive from the start, with Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface leading the line in Victor Osimhen’s absence.
The hosts nearly broke the deadlock through Fulham’s Alex Iwobi but his near post strike was saved by Libya keeper Murad Al Wuheeshi.
The pressure continued and Eguavoen’s men failed to put away yet another fine opportunity as Frank Onyeka struck the ball from outside the box, forcing a nice save but Troost-Ekong was unable to fire home the rebound.
