Kano-based political singer, Dauda Adamu Kahutu, popularly known as Rarara, has delivered a thrilling live performance, serenading President Bola Tinubu with a dedicated track titled ‘Omo Ologo,’ a Yoruba phrase meaning a glorious child.

Rarara performed at a banquet organised by Katsina Governor Dikko Umar Radda in honour of President Tinubu, who arrived in the North-West state on Friday, May 2, 2025, for a two-day working visit.

Katsina is the home of the immediate former President, Muhammadu Buhari, and has been grappling with bandit attacks and kidnapping incidents, which have raised urgent security concerns.

The trip is aimed at addressing rising security threats and launching major development initiatives.

As part of his schedule, the President commissioned a 24km road, which the Governor completed within 18 months. He’s also expected to commission the new Katsina Agricultural Mechanised Centre and attend the wedding of Radda’s daughter before heading back to Abuja.

Meanwhile, in a video that’s going viral online, Rarara was seen serenading Tinubu with his new song at the event, with his ‘Omo Ologo’ appraisal drawing the President’s amusement.

Tinubu, who was visibly thrilled by the singer’s rendition, alongside Governor Radda, clapped and smiled all through the performance.

Rarara is famous in the Northern political circle for his hit tracks during the 2023 electioneering period, during which he endorsed Tinubu’s candidacy.

Recall that the singer once declared that Tinubu should have appointed him as a minister or, at least, made him part of the selection process.

“If I am not given the position of minister, then it should be said that I was called and sat down with me, then those who will be given the positions of ministers were chosen with me,” he said back in 2023.

A British-Nigerian woman who moved to the US to train as a nurse has been stabbed to de@th just days before she was due to graduate.  Tamilore Odunsi, 23, was found d3ad in her student apartment in Houston, Texas, after a friend of her father called the police to say they had not been able to reach her.  When officers arrived, they spotted blood on the rear patio and forced their way inside, finding Tamilore in the kitchen with fatal injuries.  A flatmate was also found with stab wounds in a bedroom and taken to hospital in critical condition.  Tamilore and the unidentified man shared the two-bed flat, but were said to be ‘complete strangers’, with him only moving in a few weeks earlier. The graduate nurse was known on social media by her friends, going by the handle Tamidollars on TikTok where she had 30,000 followers.  Her last post on April 21, just three days before she d!ed, showed her relaxed and smiling in her room with the caption ‘I’m readdyyyyy’ along with a relaxed emoji. Alongside the clip she had written: ’23 years old. BSN grad in 2 weeks. Summer is 14 days away. Starting to look human again.’  Relatives have started a Go Fund Me page for Tamilore, who was originally from London and moved to Houston in 2022, to cover repatriation and funeral costs.  On the page which has already reached more than 28,000 of its 40,000 target sister Georgina Odunsi paid a touching tribute.  She said: ‘With heavy hearts, we share the devasting loss of our beloved sister, daughter, and friend, Tamilore Odunsi known ton her TikTok family as Tami Dollars or TD. ‘Tami was a beautiful soul, full of light, ambition, and kindness.
