Liverpool Clinches Narrow Victory Over Crystal Palace. Liverpool secured their sixth win in seven Premier League matches with a narrow 1-0 victory against Crystal Palace, extending their lead at the top of the table.
The Reds now sit on 18 points from a possible 21, maintaining their edge over Arsenal and Manchester City. Diogo Jota’s solitary first-half goal was enough to secure a routine victory against an uninspiring Crystal Palace side.
Match Summary
Crystal Palace had an early opportunity to take the lead, as ex-Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah scored in the first minute. However, the goal was ruled out for offside. It was Liverpool who struck first, with Diogo Jota finding the net in the ninth minute, assisted by Cody Gakpo.
Despite dominating most of the match, Liverpool couldn’t extend their lead further. Crystal Palace created a few chances but struggled to beat Liverpool’s goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, who was in fine form.

Unfortunately for Liverpool, Alisson was forced off midway through the second half due to a groin strain sustained during an awkward clearance. His replacement, Vítezslav Jaros, made his debut and successfully maintained the clean sheet for the Reds.
