Kane Matches Wayne Rooney’s All-Time Champions League Record, Harry Kane has written his name into the history books by equalling Wayne Rooney’s record for the most goals scored by an Englishman in the UEFA Champions League.

With his 30th strike in the competition, Kane now shares the record with the Manchester United legend.

Kane’s milestone moment for Bayern Munich

This marked Kane’s ninth goal in just 13 Champions League appearances for Bayern Munich, adding to the 21 goals he netted during his time at Tottenham Hotspur.

Rooney’s record and Kane’s pursuit

Wayne Rooney set the benchmark with 30 Champions League goals, all scored during his time at Manchester United.

Alongside his goal tally, Rooney also contributed 21 assists in 85 appearances for the European giants during a successful 13-year spell at Old Trafford.

Kane has matched that feat in significantly fewer matches, however, unlike Rooney, the England captain is yet to lift the coveted Champions League trophy or any other major title.
