“Everyone should just focus on what concerns them. Let artists be artists, fans be fans, and the media keep telling the stories,” the singer says.
“Beef, everything is all normal. We are all human,” Fireboy says on the conflict between artists with the most recent being another showdown between Wizkid and Davido.
In the interview, Fireboy further emphasised that he likes to mind his business in what restates his desire to live a drama-free life.

"I’m so hurt" – Peller breaks down after Headies revokes livestream invitation

Popular content creator and livestream host, Peller, was reduced to tears during a recent broadcast after alleging that the organisers of the 2025 Headies Awards revoked their invitation for him to livestream the prestigious event at the last minute despite earlier agreements and his extensive preparations.
Peller took to his livestream on April 27, 2025, to share his pain and disappointment in a raw, emotional outburst that has since gone viral.
“I had told lots of people, I put it on my channels and everywhere,” he said during the broadcast. “Now people are talking to me anyhow and saying my glory isn’t enough for the Headies. I’m not happy about this at all.”
The content creator broke down in tears amid the livestream, alleging that the committee had previously reached out to him asking him to livestream the event, adding that they made a U-turn after he agreed.
Soon, Peller went from sad to angry, claiming that the award show was against helping him, and even stopped responding to his calls.
“I no send anybody papa, these people don’t help people and they’re very wicked. The people behind it stopped replying and they were the ones who came to me with an invitation to livestream the Headies award, then they started giving me terms and conditions on the day of. I had prepared for it so much. I called and called.”
“I didn’t get to see the celebrities I wanted to see. I never intended to go there to monetise the stream. I just wanted to livestream for fun, how much would I even get from that. It’s not all about money, let other people achieve their dreams and be part of the journey. I’m so hurt and I’ve never been this hurt like this in my life. I only wanted to be on the red carpet to interview people.”
“How is it even that Tems’ mum was the one who announced the award that she won. Headies has to pay for this! All the money I spent on preparations, you people would pay me back. You people think this is a small thing?”
The organisers of the award show are yet to respond to Peller as of the time of this report.

How I escaped my toxic relationship – Nollywood actor Kalu Ikeagwu opens up

Nollywood actor, Kalu Ikeagwu, has opened up about his personal experience being a victim of domestic violence while in a toxic relationship.
The actor recounted how he landed in a toxic relationship in an interview with Punch. He also revealed how he managed to survive the domestic violence and escape it.
The actor said, “Yes, I have experienced toxic relationships and ignored red flags, as most young people would,” admitting he was in fact a victim of a toxic relationship.
He added that, “I learnt very quickly to spot those red flags early on and to never assume people can or will change. A leopard does not change its spots.”

On how he handled being subjected to domestic violence, the actor said, “The fear of God kept me in check. I remained calm, removed all emotion from the situation and maintained complete control until the escalation died down.
“Today, I am much the better for it. I thank God I trusted Him through the process. I am still benefitting from it till tomorrow.”
The actor also advised that people should find partners who fear God, adding that those seeking a God-fearing partner must share the same reverence for God.
He said, “There is no point being a hypocrite demanding from someone else what you refuse to touch.

“Family background checks are also important. A person is the product of the family they come from. A violent or dysfunctional family can only produce a violent or dysfunctional individual.”
Speaking on toxic relationships on a broader note, the actor shared some of the reasons the issue has continued to thrive in Nigeria despite the existence of laws for domestic violence offenders.
He said, “I think raising awareness about domestic violence and toxic relationships is a good thing to wake people up to the reality that these two maligning issues are on the increase in society.
“However, I think a deluge of media coverage on domestic violence would have little or no impact if the cause of the prevalent violence is not addressed.

“I feel that Nigerian laws are sufficient enough to protect women and children from domestic violence, but are the justice system and the authorities doing enough to protect them? I don’t think so.
“There is a lack of will for various reasons— political and otherwise— to adequately enforce the law to punish the perpetrators of violence and deter would-be offenders. This could be the major reason for the increase in domestic violence.”

'Ebuka is a great guy': Moses Bliss addresses beef rumours with ex-signee

Gospel minister, Moses Bliss has refuted rumors of a fallout between himself and ex-label signee, Ebuka Songz
The singer disclosed this during an interview at the inaugural live edition of the WithChude podcast, hosted by Chude Jideonwo.
When pressed about ongoing rumors of tension surrounding Ebuka’s departure from Spotlite Nation – Bliss’ record label – the ‘Too Faithful’ singer spoke warmly of his former protégé, describing him as a “great guy.”

He said that Ebuka will go far in his ministry journey, adding that the world is yet to see the best of the ‘Daddy Wey Dey Pamper’ crooner.
We are humans, and you feel a certain way if people misconstrue your intentions. But you know, I’m very concerned about impressing God. My intentions are very pure, and everything is born, you know, out of love.
Ebuka is a great guy. He would do very well. I think that the world has not seen the best of him yet. The world has not seen the years. I feel like, yes, he still has greater years—with good mentors—and you know, he’s going to do even greater things.
Bliss said that it’s normal when an artiste moves on from a label, before clarifying that his label is more of a ministry than a traditional record outfit.

He explained that as a result of his business model, he is always obligated to respond to controversies in a way that pleases Jesus.
So I would somehow want to respond the way Jesus would respond. And if anything is going to come in the way of ministry—of representing God—I will take the part of ministry. I’m a man of God, (so) I have to respond like a kingdom person. I’m not going to respond like the world. It doesn’t matter how I feel.
But you see, the consolation and the joy is that we have been able to contribute support where necessary. He’s definitely not where he used to be—not how he met us. He’s doing a lot of good for the kingdom. He’s impacting a lot of lives. Just seeing that alone, my joy is full. I don’t care what anybody thinks. I’m happy for him. I’m rejoicing for him. I’m rooting for him.
Sometimes they still call me for events: ‘We need an Ebuka.’ I say, ‘Yeah, sure—Ebuka is available.’ So it’s all love for me. As long as the kingdom of God is expanding and the gospel is being propagated, my joy is full.
Ebuka Songz left Bliss’ label in 2024 and the pair have since refuted any reports of bad blood.
