Cab driver threatens to sue Adunni Ade for defamation, actress reacts, It all began on September 18, 2024, when the actress called the driver named Frances Njoku and the hailing platform out on Instagram, alleging that he took off with her package and was not picking up calls. Her post garnered significant attention on social media, and her followers joined her to call Indrive out.

Later that night, Adunni Ade announced that the Njoku delivered her package after his profile was locked by the platform.

However, it did not end there. On September 19, Adunni Ade took to Instagram with screenshots showing all her interactions with Njoku and her fashion designer, who sent the package out.

Some of the screenshots showed a disgruntled Njoku slamming the actress for smearing his name and threatening legal action against her.

He wrote, “You have made nonsense of my image and I have contacted my legal team and we’ll see you in court. You are not the person who requested the ride. Many human rights activists and lawyers have called me and think I won’t let it go that way. You must render an unreserved apology and ask Instablog to pull the post down.”

In her post, Ade explained the context of all the screenshots she uploaded and emphasised that the driver was at fault.

She wrote in part, “One thing about me is I do not lie nor cheat my fellow being. When we speak of change, let that change start with you! With the current economic state, everyone is doing what they can to stay afloat irrespective of your finances.”

She concluded, “In my whole adult life of ordering and delivering or using services of logistic companies, I have never encountered anyone as rude, uncivilized, ill-mannered, arrogant, entitled as Frances Njoku.”

In a recent interview on the Afropolitan Podcast, Obi Asika Nigerian iconic music executive and the Director-General, National Council for Arts and Culture, NCAC spoke on the challenges Burna Boy faced on his way to stardom.

According to Asika, Burna Boy struggled to get a slot to perform for free.

“This same Burna Boy that’s a million dollars plus today, they be blocking him…He’s from Port Harcourt, he’s not from Lagos, so they be blocking him,” he said on the podcast.

“The same Burna Boy has bypassed everybody and exploded and now he can’t be blocked anymore,” he added on the success of the Grammy winner.

Reacting to Asika’s statement, Burna Boy said it doesn’t cover up to half of what he experienced. He also claimed these actors are still attempting to block him.

“This is not even half of the story. They did everything they possibly could to break me, they are even still trying their best lol but all they did was create this unquenchable FIRE that will continue to burn them for eternity.”

Burna Boy has in the past claimed that several individuals in the Nigerian music industry including the media blacklisted him.

This alleged bad faith and attacks have been blamed for his dislike for the Nigerian music ecosystem, which he constantly condescends to.

Burna Boy had a troubled start to his career, which strained his relationship with the media and the music ecosystem.

Asa Asika’s recent statement provides some clarity on this issue that appears to remain a chip on the megastar’s shoulders.

Veteran Nigerian singer Daddy Showkey has reacted to the Niger State governor’s order for security operatives to arrest people with dreadlocks in Minna.

The singer, known for his knee-length dreadlocks, posted a picture of himself on Instagram on April 24, 2025, stating his intentions to visit Umar Bago‘s state. In his caption, he criticised the governor’s directive, asking him to cut his goatee before worrying about people with dreadlocks.

Mohamed Umar DADA BE Your PROBLEM I dey to come Minna but now you have ask your security agents to cut off dreadlocks so hold your State, but make you cut your Beer Bee.

A post shared by Daddy Showkey🇳🇬(BABA HIMSELF) (@daddyshowkey)

Daddy Showkey’s post garnered reactions from his followers, with many slamming the governor’s concern over the hairstyles.

I’m even shocked that in 2025, a governor is more concerned about a hairstyle than the unemployed hungry people in the state. If anybody needs to be arrested, it’s the governor of that state. He is clueless and has no business being a leader. Big disappointment.
