Popular lawyer and human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju, has called out Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan over her recent sexual harassment allegations against the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

The senator, who has been making headlines with her daring claims, stated that only a “competent court of law” could compel her to present evidence of the alleged misconduct. Her stance has since sparked public debate and divided opinion across social media.

Responding to her remarks, Adeyanju argued that Akpoti-Uduaghan owed more than just the courts; she owed Nigerians the truth.

“Senator Natasha is wrong yet again on this,” he wrote on X.. “Many Nigerians believed you without any single evidence. You owe Nigerians evidence to back up your claim of sexual harassment. It’s not only the court you owe this explanation.”

This comes on the heels of a sarcastic Instagram post in which Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan addressed Senate President Akpabio directly, saying, “My apologies, Senate President, if I made you feel less than who you think you are. You’re indeed a very handsome man…but sexual harassment is never a compliment.”

While her comment was laced with irony, it only fueled the ongoing discourse, with critics questioning the credibility of her claims and supporters demanding accountability from the Senate President.

As calls for transparency mount, it remains to be seen whether the senator will present further details or maintain her current position.

Tunde Onakoya, the Chess champion and social impact advocate behind Chess in Slums, recently responded to an accusation of tribal bias on Twitter with a thought-provoking analogy about division and manipulation. A user had claimed, I’ve never seen this guy help anyone outside the Yoruba tribe.  In response, Tunde invoked the well-known ant jar metaphorIf you put a 100 black ants and a 100 red ants in a jar, nothing happens. But if you shake the jar, the ants start killing each other The real enemy is the one who shook the jar. He followed up by addressing the root of the attack. Someone tagged me ewedu excellence this morning The tribalism and bigotry here really saddens me. It never used to be like this, he wrote. I hope you someday see that I am not your enemy. It is those who shake the jar we must fight. See tweet below Screenshot 2025 05 03 14 51 23 040 com.twitter.android 1746281821 The post Chess champion, Tunde Onakoya responds to tribalism accusation on X appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.

Kano-based political singer, Dauda Adamu Kahutu, popularly known as Rarara, has delivered a thrilling live performance, serenading President Bola Tinubu with a dedicated track titled ‘Omo Ologo,’ a Yoruba phrase meaning a glorious child.

Rarara performed at a banquet organised by Katsina Governor Dikko Umar Radda in honour of President Tinubu, who arrived in the North-West state on Friday, May 2, 2025, for a two-day working visit.

Katsina is the home of the immediate former President, Muhammadu Buhari, and has been grappling with bandit attacks and kidnapping incidents, which have raised urgent security concerns.

The trip is aimed at addressing rising security threats and launching major development initiatives.

As part of his schedule, the President commissioned a 24km road, which the Governor completed within 18 months. He’s also expected to commission the new Katsina Agricultural Mechanised Centre and attend the wedding of Radda’s daughter before heading back to Abuja.

Meanwhile, in a video that’s going viral online, Rarara was seen serenading Tinubu with his new song at the event, with his ‘Omo Ologo’ appraisal drawing the President’s amusement.

Tinubu, who was visibly thrilled by the singer’s rendition, alongside Governor Radda, clapped and smiled all through the performance.

Rarara is famous in the Northern political circle for his hit tracks during the 2023 electioneering period, during which he endorsed Tinubu’s candidacy.

Recall that the singer once declared that Tinubu should have appointed him as a minister or, at least, made him part of the selection process.

If I am not given the position of minister, then it should be said that I was called and sat down with me, then those who will be given the positions of ministers were chosen with me,” he said back in 2023.
