Eko Miami Vibes: BBNaija's Sheggz shares what he loves about Lagos

Big Brother Naija star Sheggz has shared his thoughts on what makes Lagos State special to him, offering his perspective on the vibrant city’s unique charm.
The reality TV star recently sat down with Pulse Nigeria for an exclusive interview and when asked how he would describe Lagos to someone who has never visited, Sheggz said, “Honestly, I would say that Lagos is the best place if you’re making money.”
Sheggz previously lived in England and recently moved to Nigeria, where he gained prominence as a Big Brother Naija housemate.
He highlighted some of the qualities of the state, stating how the city of Lagos never sleeps because of the consistent hustle and bustle.
He explained, “When it gets hard in Lagos, it’s really hard, like there is no middle class it’s either good or bad. There is always this hustle and bustle and people are always angry but really and really, it’s such a great place to chase your dreams.”
Sheggz emphasised Lagos’s reputation as a city of opportunity, where determination and grit can pave the way to success for those who put in the work. He also admitted that the vibrant city has the best social life that he has seen.
The best place about Lagos is that if you want to make it in life you can make It here and if you can make it here you can make it everywhere. I believe that Lagos toughens you up and gives you opportunities. Lagos has got a great sense of community, we stress each other but we love each other. No matter where you go, 24/7 there is food and clubs are open. Lagos is the vibe, I personally call it Eko Miami

Oluwadolarz breaks silence with cryptic post following call out by ex-fiancee

Popular Nigerian skitmaker Oluwadolarz has finally spoken out following allegations from his ex-fiancée, Ife Luv, who accused him of infidelity and financial irresponsibility.
The controversy began when Ife Luv announced the end of their relationship in March 2025, claiming that Oluwadolarz repeatedly cheated on her despite her forgiving him after a previous public apology. She further alleged that she had been the primary provider in their relationship because he was “constantly broke” and that she recently caught him with another woman while their four-year-old son was in the same house.
Days after their relationship became a trending topic online, Oluwadolarz took to Instagram with a cryptic message about men and wealth, which appeared to address the situation.
When a man has wealth, he’s often revered like royalty; but when same wealth fades, respect quickly vanishes. The same people that used to say “Thanks for everything, you are the best”… they change their tone to “what have you ever done for me? Who you be sef?” It’s a lesson I’ve learned firsthand. May we never become a thing of the past. We keep pushing.
While Oluwadolarz did not directly address Ife Luv’s claims, his post has fuelled further speculation. Many social media users accused the skit-maker of manipulation, as the fallout between himself and Ife Luv had little to do with money, as opposed to the infidelity allegations.
See reactions below:
But this has nothing to do with having money. She complained of your cheating but you are bringing money in . This is very very manipulative.
When man done cheat and them catch am parable go full mouth 😂😂😂😂 bro. Go to her apologize and have a decent relationship for the sake of your child.
When a woman complains of a man’s bad behavior they quickly shift it to money…. Oga go and change your ways and stop gaslighting… see long epistle when you no be woman.

UMG asks court to dismiss Drake's lawsuit, says he asked Kendrick Lamar to diss him

In a motion moved on Monday, Universal Music Group asked the court to dismissed the suit filed against the label by Drake.
According to UMG, Kendrick Lamar‘s ‘Not Like Us’ song is a part of a long history of hip-hop diss culture which it also claimed Drake was attempting to write because he lost.
The lable also claimed Lamar’s comments in the song was protected under the First Amendment which guaranteed free speech.
According to Billboard, UMG lawyers argued that “The plaintiff, one of the most successful recording artists of all time, lost a rap battle that he provoked and in which he willingly participated. Instead of accepting the loss like the unbothered rap artist he often claims to be, he has sued his own record label in a misguided attempt to salve his wounds.”
UMG pointed out Drake’s lyrics in the ‘Taylor Made Freestyle,’ where he used an AI-generated voice of late rapper 2Pac to demand a reply from Kendrick Lamar.
This, according to the label, was sufficient evidence that Drake filled and actively participated in the beef, and that he’s only insitituting a defamatory lawsuit because he lost.
According to TMZ, Drake’s attorney lead attorney Mike Gottlieb argued that UMG was attempting to hoodwink the public into thinking the issue was merely a rap beef rather than an attempt to hold the label responsible for profiting off dangerous misinformation.
“UMG wants to pretend that this is about a rap battle in order to distract its shareholders, artists and the public from a simple truth: a greedy company is finally being held responsible for profiting from dangerous misinformation that has already resulted in multiple acts of violence. This motion is a desperate ploy by UMG to avoid accountability, but we have every confidence that this case will proceed and continue to uncover UMG’s long history of endangering, abusing and taking advantage of its artists.”
The Story of Far
Drake’s beef with Kendrick Lamar has been regarded as one of the most iconic in hip-hop history.

The aftermath of the rap battle has seen Drake emerge as the most injured with Lamsr’s hit song ‘Not Like Us’ inflicting the heaviest blow.
In the song, Kendrick Lamar called Drake a certified pedophile. A claim that has become the major crux of Drake’s lawsuit against UMG who distributed the song.
To add insult to injury, the song won Kendrick Lamar 5 awards at the 67th Grammys. The Compton rapper also performed the song at the 2025 Superbowl.
What next for Drake & UMG
Both Drake and UMG will be arguing their respective cases before the court.
While UMG seeks to dismiss the suit, Drake’s lawyers will be hoping to convince the court that his claims of injury resulting from the falsehood in Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ is sufficient reason to hear the case.
Drake will also be aiming to assert his claims that UMG used unethical means to artificially boost the song’s popularity to cause he further damages.
Despite losing the beef, Drake has retained his status as the foremost rapper globally as he topped the 2024 IFPI list as the best-selling hip-hop act.
